Welcome to Firin Bakery | Where

"Come taste the bread that built empires."🥨

At Firin, we stoke our ovens with Turkish baking heritage. Every morning before dawn, our bakers hand-shape simit dough into golden rings, glaze them with pekmez molasses, and coat them in sesame seeds - just as Istanbul's street vendors have done for centuries.

Our case is always filled with:

🥨 Fresh-from-the-oven simit (best enjoyed warm with tea)
🥮 Flaky börek stuffed with cheese, spinach, or minced meat
🍯 Not-too-sweet desserts like pistachio katmer and rosewater sutlac

More than a bakery, we're keepers of Turkish food memory - where the crackle of fresh bread and the scent of toasted sesame welcome you like the Bosphorus breeze.

Why Firin stands apart:

  • True Simit Specialists: One of few in Bahrain doing authentic circular simit with pekmez glaze
  • Dessert Philosophy: Turkish treats like katmer and künefe balanced for Gulf palates
  • Bakehouse Atmosphere: Their Instagram shows flour-dusted prep and traditional tools

Signature Offerings

  1. Golden Simit Rings (Sesame/Pekmez)
  2. Artisan Börek & Pogaca
  3. Heritage Desserts (Katmer, Künefe, Sutlac)

Come taste the bread that built empires.

The art of wood-fired baking

Handcrafted breads and pastries that honor time-honored techniques and the finest ingredients. Wood-fired to golden perfection—because great bread deserves fire, time, and respect.

What is Simit?

Simit Bread: The Versatile Turkish Delight

Simit is a traditional Turkish circular bread, similar to a sesame bagel but with a unique crispiness and rich flavor. It’s made from a simple dough (flour, water, yeast) coated in molasses and generously covered in sesame seeds before baking, giving it a slightly sweet and nutty taste.

Different Ways to Enjoy Simit

Classic Breakfast

  • Enjoy warm simit with feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sucuk (spicy sausage).
  • Pair it with çay (Turkish tea) or strong Turkish coffee for the ultimate morning ritual.

Street-Style Snack

  • Grab it fresh from FIRIN and eat it plain or with a sprinkle of extra sesame seeds.
  • Perfect for an on-the-go bite with ayran (yogurt drink) or a cup of tea.

Cheese & Charcuterie

  • Layer it with kasar cheese, pastrami, or sucuk for a hearty sandwich.
  • Add pickles or hot peppers for extra flavor.

Sweet & Indulgent

  • Spread Nutella, tahini-pekmez (tahini + grape molasses), or honey for a dessert-like treat.
  • Dip in clotted cream (kaymak) for extra richness.

Crunchy Salad or Soup Topper

  • Crumble toasted simit over shepherd’s salad (çoban salata) or lentil soup (mercimek çorbası) for texture.

Simit with Eggs

  • Use it as a dipper for runny yolks or make a breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs and herbs.

Simit Pizza?

  • Cut it in half, top with cheese & toppings, then toast for a quick "simit pizza."

Simit Chips

  • Slice thin, bake until crispy, and enjoy as a snack.
